- Identify where the x goes in the proportions.
- Determines where to put the other two values.
- Then both partners calculate to find x.

3. Sergio buys marshmallow shooter for $15.50 plus 7% tax. Brody buys a super soaker for $9 plus 7% tax. What is the sum they paid including tax?
